"Love God & Love People!" This is our philosophy of ministry. Sunnyside Student Ministry (SSM) exists to create life-long disciples of Jesus Christ. SSM is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for students in grades 6-12. Students are exposed to the life changing truth of God's Word. The Bible is taught in relevant and meaningful ways, and issues are taught from a Biblical perspective.

The Core

The Core is our main program for students in grades 6 - 12.  We initially meet upstairs in Rm. 213 every Sunday at 9:45, then divide into age appropriate groups. This is a time of fun, friendship, community, and learning, as we seek to follow Jesus together. It's a safe place where you can be yourself, bring your friends, make new friends, serve others, and be challenged by the truth of God's Word!

"Pulse"

This is our mid-week small group program for all student in grades 6-12. Grades 6-8 take place on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00pm at Sunnyside Christian Church. High school groups meet at various times and locations throughout the week. Pulse is a safe place to discuss life issues, ask questions, and deepen your faith in Jesus Christ. These small groups will help you build friendships, and have accountability with other studenst and caring adults.

The Edge

The Edge exists to reach out and connect with new students in a safe and friendly environment the first Sunday of each month from 5:45pm to 7:15pm. The Edge is about crazy games, great challenges, awesome worship, and lasting friendships. This event is open to both High School and Middle School students.

Out of Love

"Out of Love" is an organized effort by SSM to make Jesus famous in the city of Colorado Springs through acts of kindness and service. We want to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We don't just go to church, we want to Be The Church!

When we meet

  • Sunday Morning - "The Gathering" grades 6-12, 9:45-11:00am upstairs in Rm. 213.
  • Wednesday Nights "Pulse"- Middle School grades 6-8; 6:30-8:30pm in the gym, High School grades 9-12 Meet at various times and locations throughout the week.
  • 1st Sunday of the Month - "The Edge" 5:45pm
